Family Trades House For RV, Spends Six Years Paying Off Debt On The Road
After years of military deployments kept them apart, the Rossis found remote work let them travel together while chasing financial freedom.
Haylea Rossi, 31, and her husband Ryan Rossi, 34, have lived full time in an RV with their two children for six years, using the lifestyle to pay off debt while traveling, according to Business Insider. The family, who call themselves the Roamin Rossis, hit a turning point in 2020 when Ryan was finishing up his military service, which had kept him deployed almost every year.
Once his service ended, Ryan took a remote job as an independent insurance adjuster that required six months of training travel to Colorado, giving the family an opening to hit the road together. Haylea, who works as a content creator and social media creator for brands, said the RV lifestyle's biggest draw is the financial freedom it gives the family of four.
The Rossis plan to keep living in the RV until they pay off their debt and feel more financially secure, splitting their time between destinations that have included snowy mountains and ocean coastline.
