27-Year-Old Saves Nearly $300,000 Working Two Jobs While Living With Parents
He puts $1,000 of his roughly $1,100-$1,200 weekly combined pay into the S&P 500, aiming to retire in his 40s.
Ryan Lowe, 27, has saved nearly $300,000 toward early retirement by working a daytime finance job and a night shift as a product sorter at a grocery store, while living with his parents in Massachusetts and driving a 20-year-old Toyota Camry, according to Business Insider.
Lowe said he brings in between $1,100 and $1,200 a week combined from both jobs and typically puts $1,000 of that into the S&P 500. He quit his night job at Stop & Shop three weeks ago after the commute became unsustainable.
He's aiming to retire in his 40s and spend his time traveling, saying that when he's not traveling he wants to keep living a quiet, low-key lifestyle similar to his routine now.
